This is a pair of inlay gaspeite & sterling hoop earrings. Native artisan crafted in New Mexico. Lightweight, comfortable earrings with a beautiful apple green color. Set in a thick sterling silver base.
Gaspeite has been found in only two locations in the world. This is an uncommon green and brown stone that has many excellent metaphysical properties. These uncommon stones resonate strongly within the higher heart.
Gaspéite is a bright grass-green to olive or yellowish green gemstone that often shows brown veining. It was first discovered near Mount Albert, Gaspé Peninsula, Québec, Canada. Most material now comes from Australia. It is a nickel carbonate and a member of the calcite group. It is often found as an intermediate material with magnesite.
